| Description | An individual and a legal person, save a commercial bank, desirous of operating a foreign exchange business in the form of foreign exchange bureau or foreign exchange agent must obtain approval from the commercial banks which are authorized by the Bank of Lao PDR and must: be in a good financial position and be credible; be appropriately located to provide the service; have appropriate equipment for operating foreign exchange business; have staff capable in foreign exchange business; and possess a Certificate from the court verifying that no criminal charges have been laid against them. |
