Official Launch of Lao Services Portal
Summary
The official launch of Lao Services Portal (LSP) took place on 31 August 2017, at Ministry of Industry and Commerce. The event was chaired by H.E. Mrs. Khemmani Pholsena, Minister of Industry and Commerce, and attended by more than 100 invited guests and representatives from line Ministries, Embassies, International Organizations and services providers in Lao PDR.

The official launch of Lao Services Portal (LSP) took place on 31 August 2017, at Ministry of Industry and Commerce. The event was chaired by H.E. Mrs. Khemmani Pholsena, Minister of Industry and Commerce, and attended by more than 100 invited guests and representatives from line Ministries, Embassies, International Organizations and services providers in Lao PDR.

The event started with a brief introduction on background and purpose of having LSP and how important the portal is to services investors, and this was delivered by Phd. Laohoua Cheuching, Director-General of Department of Foreign Trade Policy, who is also advisor to the LSP development team.  During his keynote presentation, he mentioned that the development of LSP began in 2015 under the Second Trade Development Facility (TDF II) support and he also appraised the World Bank for close cooperation on this matter from beginning of the development until now. The primary purpose of creating this portal is to providing both foreign and domestic investors, including general people a quick and easy access to necessary information on services business operation through modern IT system.

LSP contains all information related to trades and investment in services sectors in Lao PDR. In this website, users will be able to find: legal documents, measures, procedures, forms, services commitments, news, publications and other information related to trades and investment which they can view or download into their own computer. The portal also allows users to fill out an enquiry form if they have questions. In addition, by registering as member on our website, users will be able to obtain regular updated of all information on their chosen sectors and also other information.
