To promote tourism in the province and encourage the public to join and support the athletes during the upcoming national games in Xiengkhuang on March 22 - April 1, 2020, Xiengkhuang provincial authorities are preparing to notify the hotels and guesthouses in the province on lowering their price by 20% during the cerebration of 11th National Games or Xieng Khouang Games as well as improving the tourist attractions to welcome more tourists.

to accommodate sport fans and other visitors, the Department of Education and Sports has organized training for the operators, amongst hotels and guesthouses in the province, on preparation the hospitality to meet the international standards and notified the operators to ameliorate their accommodations to be beautiful, clean and comfortable in order to allow both domestic and foreign visitors to enjoy the national games as well as explore the attractions of the province, said by Mr. Sivilay Oudomsouk, Deputy  Director General of the Department of Education and Sports, Xiengkhuang province.   

In Xiengkhuang province, there are 21 hotels and 129 guest houses to accommodate arround 3,000 people per night. Besides, there are over 43 tourist attractions, including The Plain of Jars, which has already been added to the list of UNESCO World Heritage Sites, he said.
